I'm Talitha, a designer by day and a dancer at heart. I'm pretty sedentary at my day job these days, but Zumba combines that passion for dancing with cardio fitness and actually makes exercising fun! I got my Zumba instructor license to learn the formula that makes this workout unique, and I became ACE certified as a group fitness instructor to ensure our workouts are effective and safe. Whether you're trying to get social encouragement to exercise, adding cardio to your workout routine, or just looking for a fun workout you can commit to, this might be just what the doctor ordered, come give it a try!
This Zumba Basic class is a moderate intensity, judgement-free, dance fitness workout that includes movement progressions to suit your level of fitness. My routine features Caribbean, African, Latin, Pop, and Hip-Hop rhythms, all wrapped up in one hour that flies by before you know it! According to the US Department of Health and Human Services physical activity guidelines, "adults should do at least 150 minutes a week of moderate intensity...[aerobic physical activity]". Come make 60 of those workout minutes a more sustainable and enjoyable goal.
